01. Vodka or Champagne?
Vodka! Don’t like the bubbles in champagne…
02. Your favorite toast?
Italian style preferred.
03. Your favorite airport?
Koh Samui.
04. Best bar at an airport?
The one that doesn’t charge at least €28,50 for a simple sandwich, coffee and water.
05. The perfect dress for a gig?
Dress like an onion and wear shoes you could walk with at least 36 hours.
06. How long can you survive without fresh socks?
Not longer than one day. Especially when you’re ending up at a private “shoes off” after party.
07. How many times did you arrive somewhere without your luggage?
Two times. Fortunately both times in my hometown when I came back from travelling.
08. Ever had to get some cloths from a promoter?
Nope.
09. What time is it?
2:03 PM.
10. Politics or Economy?
Both and none.

Neither nor.

I can’t remember any bad one. Maybe I forgot about it…

I assume that my circadian rhythm does not exist anymore. Or it is at least more than confused.

I believe in nature.

About 85% of the requested tracks were “Sky And Sand”, but of course there were even worse requests.

Venison goulash with dumplings and cranberries.
22. Do your parents have a precise idea of what you are doing?
Oh yes.
23. Did they ever come to see you play live?
Only once so far. But if the music wouldn’t be that loud in clubs, my mum would come almost every weekend.

David Benioff – City Of Thieves.
25. A vice?
Terrible perfectionism.
26. What did you want to become as a child?
Painter, ballet dancer (but I was a way too tall and not talented at all).
27. How do you keep in shape?
Munich is the best place in the world for bicycling! (I don’t have a car anyway).

Julietta is already my nickname.
29. One of your hobbies?
A lot.
30. Groupies: blessing or penalty?
Blessing of course!!!
31. Personal remedy against hangover?
Lots of water during getting wasted, loads of water before you go sleeping and in the best of cases a heavy breakfast on top. Painkillers as a matter of course before sleeping and after waking up.
32. Where did you grow up?
In Munich until I was 4, then in Germering (Munich suburbs) until I moved back to Munich when I was full age.
33. How do you keep your temper when provoked?
Did you say, my mother cannot cook!??
34. What would you do in life if not djing?
Working as a photoshop editor, what I actually still do since many many years besides djing.
35. A question you always wanted to hear in an interview?
After being back from your recent world tour – which country did you like the most?
36. What song did you have stuck in your head recently?
“Sweet Home Alabama”. This was the song I was been waken up by a terrible band playing in front of my window on a street festival after coming home from a party late noon. I was straight before killing them…

Adidas.
38. Finding yourself on an after hour: what day of the week would this be most likely?
This is always a very good question.
39. Longest set ever played?
A 12 hours b2b with ANA at an after party in Munich ending at 6 P.M.
40. Secret weapon for the dance floor?
KB Project – The Symphony. The only record I didn’t put out of my bag since many years!
41. Favorite drink while playing?
Vodka Tonic, White Wine Soda, Water.
42. Next big thing in music?
Probably a new revival of the revival of the revival of let’s say… techno?
43. Something you really hate to see on a dance floor?
Topless sweating anabolica guys shouting “Aaaauuuuuf geeeeeeeeeeht’s!” („Let’s goooooo!“)

Happy faces and people who are obviously into the music.

London is the new Berlin!
47. A person you avoid? And why?
Not really.

Too many to mention. But I love the b2bs with Eli Verveine, Vera, ANA and the other Harry Klein residents. And I also love the challenge to b2b with a person I don’t really know well. This can end up in a good surprise or a bad one… you never know!

Music with heart & soul, no matter which style.
50. How much sleep do you need a day?
6-8 hours.
51. Worst dinner a promoter brought you ever to?
Mc Donalds Drive In during our drive to the club.

Japanese dinner in Tokyo.

Flying.

Being everywhere in the world in short time.

Christmas.
57. Most ridiculous party you were booked?
A “supersecret underground party”, which turned out into the promoter’s private birthday party at his parents house. Unfortunately the guests hated electronic music.

The destinations with beaches.

Friday.
60. A misconception people often have about you?
No, I am not arrogant, even if it sometimes makes the impression because I don’t recognize people. It’s only because I am terrible in remembering faces.

Prince – Erotic City (Le Loup Edit)
62. Worst thing in a DJ-Life?
Long waiting times at the airport after having no single second of sleep after a gig, acyclic free time compared to my friends and family.

Not even one.

65. Average number of taxis you take a month?
Maybe 20?
66. Most expensive taxi you ever took?
A 2 hours taxi drive from the Turkish countryside to the airport of Antalya. I can’t remember the exact amount, but something around € 150-200.

Beach side preferred.
68. How do you relax?
Bubble bath + book + relaxing music.
69. A flower?
A rose. Very classic.
70. Who do you admire?
My parents. After being married for more than 40 years, they are still in love like at the first day.
71. Best gig the last few months?
Loads of! It’s hard to name a special one, but I loved playing my debut at Fabric in May and every single gig at Half Baked, both in London. And my farest gig I ever played was 3 months ago: On a typical little south sea island in New Caledonia between Australia and the Fiji Islands. That was quite impressive.
72. Worst gig the last few months?
Fortunately there was no really bad one, only some “okay” ones…

75. Something you cannot quit?
Being a party animal. I always assumed that it becomes boring one day, but I’m still waiting for that moment. Without any success.

There are many things to change in this world…

Of course! If the music kicks my ass, I love dancing!
78. Who made you dance the last time?
Tobi Neumann on a festival on Saturday. He played absolutely amazing!
79. Something you would like to forget?
Phew…
80. From all the cities you’ve been to: the most precious? Why?
Jerusalem. I never saw a place before where the people obviously have massive problems and there is such a positive vibe in town though. I was very impressed about that fact. And it’s also a beautiful and diverse city of course.
81. From all the cities you’ve been to: the most fucked up? Why?
Bangkok. But this is also what I love of Bangkok.

Travelling. Travelling. Travelling.

Did you see the concert of Francesco Tristano, Carl Craig & Moritz von Oswald in Paris lately? Oh my goodness…

Half Baked in London, the guys are sooooo amazing. One of the best parties I know at the moment… But actually it’s no club – it’s an event.
86. Something which would make you stop from what you’re doing?
Breaking both arms.
87. What are your plans for the rest for the day?
Catching the last sunrays before it’s raining again, having a meeting later in the afternoon with the rest of the Harry Klein residents, going somewhere for dinner. Sleeping.
