It’s time to hand out the cigars. Seph just became father of a wonderful new label called Aula Magna. Being the good father he is, he selflessly volunteered  to be part of it’s first release, also called Aula Magna (01), and with him comes his new family, Mekas, Qik and Pablo Denegri. That should be enough to fill the biggest aula out there, but for an encore, the whole shebang is on pre sale for you this very minute! Happy Birthday, Massel Tov, Alles Gute und Santé to you, happy Papa!

Clicking through the depths of Facebook and Twitter one comes across wise things posted by artists. But also across a huge pile of nonsense. An upcoming gig may be a tempting moment to share with his fans for every artist. Classic & boring is the expression: “I’m looking forward to XY”. So people start to use smarter expressions. But I really don’t understand why people say “City XY. Let’s do it”. Let’s do it… like going to the toilette after a way too heavy meal. Speech is silver, mixing is golden. Let’s shut up and do some work.

Hey, will you look at that triple strike: Just out on Cesare vs Disorder’s label Serialism, Quenum’s new EP Another Day not only attracted fine reviews from Ibiza Voice and Resident Advisor but Everyday People (Track 02) has also just been turned into a video. (This sentence just broke our record for most links per word.) Nice work, guys!

There are a lot of kingdoms out there, many of them containing mushrooms and koopas, but partyflockers? That’s something new, so we are paying double attention to Dario Zenker’s interview with dutch website Partyflock. And while our dutch is a little rusty, we could make out some subliminal criticism on Berlin’s dominance and munich’s tendency to shut down clubs for the sake of saint mammon. Well, it’s actually not that secret, but Deep Mariano’s Secret Passage EP on Get Slow has gotten the Franco Cinelli remix treatment and we are sure that his In Your Soul Mix will enlighten us all to find our way out of another secret passage (Spooky pop star not withstanding.) or at least have the great summer we all deserve. Bring on the heat!

Best flyer since a while!

Seeing Berlin by boat has always been something to put your parents up to when you were tired of shlepping through yet another museum. But once a year it’s time for you, dear reader, to strap on those life jackets and schmear the sun screen around. Yes, it’s time for Stadt.Strand.Fluss., Berlin’s watery music festival, and Harry’s Julietta, Seph, Benna and Avatism will be battling the vicious Vakant boys Tolga Fidan, Nico Purman and DeWalta on their own beat boat until someone walks the plank. (This is where the life jacket will come in handy!) The tickets, alas, were sold out in under a day, but all hope is not lost:

While we always liked our bit of disorder and chaos, letting another artist play with our creative work is a question of trust. Cesar vs Disorder  to the rescue!  A lot of artists count on the remixing skills of our favorite world touring Italian and rightly so. No one can stop Dario ‘Smiling’ and Marco ‘Charming’ Zenker on their quest for world-congeniality-domination and so today, they are announcing another new artist they signed for Ilian Tape. If you (like us) can’t wait for the promo, then watch this space.

We are hyped to introduce a new face to the Ilian Tape Gang and to the small world of Techno artists. In the age of tons of awesome demos with messages like: “hey lilan tepe i’m big fan of label. I made album called Fiyadancer. Tell me about how his release date and upcoming showcase for play. Thanks. I had release on label like Amazing Records, Best Music and Thinbass with Cliks Records”, it’s even nicer to discover an unknown talent. It’s a pleasure for us to present the first release of 25-year-old Andrea from Turin.
